Hi-I’m Nischal, a Data and AI Engineer focused on turning messy data into reliable pipelines, analytics, and ML powered products. I enjoy building end to end systems that are fast, scalable, and easy to maintain.
I work with Python, SQL, and cloud tools to design production ready workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and monitoring. I care a lot about data quality, performance, and clear dashboards that help teams make better decisions.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, reading non fiction books, and writing.
Experience
Graduate Research Assistant
- Engineering an LLM-powered learning system with role-based access, prompt orchestration, safety guardrails, and usage observability to support reliable, child-appropriate AI experiences.
- Designing end-to-end data and logging pipelines for AI-assisted learning sessions, integrating multi-source study data(surveys, interviews, observations, chat logs) with IRB-aligned de-identification and standardized schemas.
- Building analytics and dashboards that transform LLM telemetry and study signals into actionable insights for curriculum refinement and librarian training.
Graduate Research Assistant
- Designed a metadata management and retrieval system using PostgreSQL + pgvector and a unified schema for artworks,curators, and artists across mobile and web clients.
- Built a scalable data + embedding pipeline leveraging AWS S3 for storage and vector indexing for high-accuracy content retrieval and deduplication.
- Implemented a search + retrieval layer that combined structured SQL queries with semantic search, improving discoverability of artwork records and related entities.

- Modernized a client-facing construction website by transitioning from a static codebase to a CMS-enabled modern stack, delivering a 32% performance improvement and significantly streamlining content publishing and approvals
